ALDIE

Located Between the Catoctin Mountains & Bull Run Mountains with Pre-Civil War Architecture

Aldie, an unincorporated community found between Chantilly and Middleburg, Virginia, is steeped in history. It is located 41 miles from Washington, DC. Built around the Aldie Mill that produced corn and wheat in the 1800s, Aldie has a thriving historic district that showcases the culture and traditions that defined this farming community. Quiet streetscapes and landscaped gardens enhance Aldie’s unique charm.

While most of Aldie’s real estate is spacious, detached properties, there are some smaller family homes in the community. Many of the homes were constructed in the 1800s and include wide porches, and paired chimneys. Southeast of the village center some new, contemporary properties are being built.

The Village Center Plaza in Aldie offers Italian restaurants and pizza and sandwich shops. The annual Aldie Harvest Festival that includes arts and crafts and local food vendors is not to be missed.
